Ohio Cat Breaks Ground on Phase 2 of Headquarters Expansion
Ohio Cat has broken ground on the second phase of construction of its new headquarters in Broadview Heights, Ohio. Phase 1, completed in October 2013, provided the company with an additional 6,500 square feet of space for a corporate Technical Training Department, a Condition Monitoring and Central Dispatch Center, and added offices. Phase 2 will renovate and expand Ohio Cat’s 43-year-old existing corporate headquarters.
With 22,000 square feet of renovation space and 34,000 square feet of expansion space, the project will include increased office space and more meeting areas. The addition will showcase a new Leadership and Professional Development Training Center, a new Equipment Division sales and rental showroom and office area, along with new offices and meeting spaces for Ohio Cat’s ag division.
The new headquarters will sport a sleek and modern façade with improved lighting, furniture and fixtures, blending in with the architecture of the previously completed Phase 1 addition. The project is designed to double the employee work areas with ample room for increased future employment needs. The project is part of a $75 million, multi-year facilities improvement program and is scheduled to be completed in Feb. 2016.
