Speedy Hire, the U.K.’s largest equipment rental company, has named Mark Rogerson chief executive effective immediately. Currently chief operating officer and named to the company’s board in December 2013, Rogerson joined Speedy from Costain Group plc where he was managing director of the Natural Resources division.
Former chief executive Steve Corcoran will step down from the board of Speedy and leave the group.
“The board and I are delighted that someone of Mark’s caliber and drive has taken up the challenge to lead Speedy at this exciting point in its development,” said Ishbel Macpherson, Speedy chairman.
Macpherson noted Corcoran’s contributions to the company during 25 years.
“Steve has been at the forefront in the transformation of Speedy and I would like to personally thank him for his commitment and leadership and wish him well in his future career.”
