Equipment Depot Buys Pink Ribbon Forklifts to Raise Breast Cancer Research Awareness
Leading forklift rental company Equipment Depot has joined forces with forklift manufacturer Clark Material Handling by purchasing four “pink ribbon” Clark forklifts, painted pink to demonstrate support for the fight against breast cancer. The four-wheel pneumatic-tired forklifts include a large “Raising Hope” message on the side of each machine.
Equipment Depot branches in Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia and Mechanicsburg, Pa., have each ordered the pink ribbon forklifts. The units are designated to enter ED’s rental fleet but will be available for purchase by customers who want to demonstrate support for breast cancer research.
“Although Breast Cancer Awareness Month is October, the pink forklifts will serve as a reminder year-round of Equipment Depot’s continued support for research for those who are fighting, surviving or have lost the battle against breast cancer,” said Todd Jordan, director of rental fleet for Equipment Depot. “In addition to ordering the pink ribbon forklifts, Equipment Depot made a generous donation to the Susan G. Komen foundation at the time of purchase to aid in the research to eliminate breast cancer.”
Contributions by dealers were matched by Clark, which, together with dealers, have raised more than $230,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Equipment Depot is based in Houston and has more than 35 full-service locations in the United States.
