RER’s Webinar to Focus on Power-Generation Rental Industry

RER will host an online webinar in October on the power-generation segment of the rental industry. Entitled The Power of Power Generation and sponsored by Kohler Power Systems, the webinar will explore such topics as dealing with natural disasters and emergency situations, how to market and design standby and backup power solutions to customers, providing power to festivals and sporting events, and what factors are driving the impressive growth of the power-generation rental market.
Moderated by RER editor-in-chief Michael Roth, panelists for the webinar are:
- Brian Kerins, president of ElecComm Power Services, Hyde Park, N.J. A graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Kerins got his start in the mobile generating field as a senior technician and project manager for GE. He started ElecComm with business partners and has grown the company more than 200 percent in seven years.
- Phil Wessels, vice president of Ring Power, one of the world’s largest Caterpillar dealers, and managing director of Cat Entertainment Services. Wessels has worked as a product support consultant for a Caterpillar joint venture on the Alyeska Pipeline construction in Fairbanks, Alaska; has worked in sales and product support for New England equipment distributors; was the manager of an international team to launch a rental business unit for a Caterpillar dealer in Saudi Arabia; was rental and used equipment sales manager for Ringhaver Equipment Co.’s power system division in Tampa, Fla.; was manager of the transition team for the merger of Ringhaver Equipment Co. and Ring Power Corp. Wessels launched Cat Entertainment Services in 2000.
- Marcello Lo Cicero, director of Latin America and rental for Houston-based Worldwide Power Products, a power-generation equipment provider to industrial and petroleum clients worldwide, which he joined in 2012. Lo Cicero was initially charged with responsibility for business development in Latin America and later saw his responsibilities expand to include the rental business as well. Lo Cicero has more than 20 years of experience across the construction, power and industrial sectors. Before joining WPP, he served as director of operations for Aggreko International Power Projects across Central America and Mexico and also managed both sales and rentals for Caterpillar in the U.S., Europe, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.
