Leavitt Machinery USA has acquired the assets of Premier Lift Truck Services of Tualatin, Ore., and will operate from Premier’s location using the Leavitt Machinery name. Premier Lift Truck Services has been operating in the Portland area for 24 years and has built a strong reputation. Former Premier owner Chris Carroll and his entire management team will continue to provide support to the Portland customer base.
Leavitt Machinery, based in Coquitlam, B.C., Canada, is a full-service materials handling dealership including rental operations with 21 locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Washington and Oregon. It offers long- and short-term rentals, sells and leases new and used equipment, and offers parts and service support. “We have had our eye on the Portland market for some time now, and we felt that the acquisition of Premier Lift Truck was a natural fit for Leavitt Machinery,” said Tom Leavitt, president and CEO of Leavitt Machinery. “They have a strong customer base and we will plug our resources into the business to help them grow their share of the market in Oregon.”
In addition to forklifts, Leavitt rents boomlifts, scissorlifts, cranes, generators, and telehandlers. Its forklifts go up to 100,000 pounds capacity.
