The board of directors of Trico Lift has named Chris Carmolingo its new CEO and president, replacing co-founder and former president Ken Pustizzi, who recently announced his retirement. Carmolingo is an 18-year veteran of the company and served most recently as chief operating officer leading the daily management of the company’s eight branch locations covering the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Gulf Coast regions.
In 1998, Carmolingo was named vice-president of sales and marketing and was instrumental in the company’s significant growth throughout the next decade. He was promoted to COO of Trico Lift in 2011 to accelerate the company’s growth and further develop and strengthen its operations and customer service objectives.
“Chris’ keen business insight and clear understanding of the equipment marketplace makes him a recognized leader in the access equipment industry and the right choice for Trico Lift’s chief executive role,” said executive board chairman John Paz.
Pustizzi also praised Carmolingo’s recent accomplishments.
“Under Chris’ leadership as chief operating officer, the company has achieved efficiencies and performance consistencies in virtually every business function,” Pustizzi said. These advances include a significant increase in Trico Lift’s fleet size and the expansion of its transportation truck fleet to improve its response time to customers.
Carmolingo is also responsible for corporate initiatives to improve the administration of sales and service as well as a 30-percent increase in factory-trained technicians to service more contractor-owned equipment.
