Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation last week said it will celebrate the grand re-opening of its Shelby, N.C., 1,800-square-foot general rental facility on July 25. The event will take place at the store between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and will showcase the facility’s renovated showroom and newly expanded product line, which includes small tools, construction equipment and contractors’ supplies.
The grand re-opening of HERC Shelby is part of the company’s general rental program expansion, which HERC began in 2003 in support of its commitment to increase services and products for small, medium and large contractors as well as homeowners. The company added 23 general rental locations in 2007 as part of its planned expansion in that line of equipment rental and currently has more than 100 general rental locations throughout the United States and Canada.
HERC’s Shelby location offers a broad range of products, including floor sanders, pressure washers and ladders, forklifts, man lifts and scaffolding. In addition to the newly expanded product line, HERC Shelby still offers a wide assortment of construction and industrial equipment from manufacturers such as Case, Genie, Ingersoll Rand, JLG, John Deere, Wacker and Stihl.
At the event, vendor demonstrations and literature will be available, a free lunch will be provided by Shane’s Rib Shack sponsored in part by Wacker Neuson. There will be giveaways provided on-site while supplies last and HERC management and city councilman Mike Royster will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
A wholly owned subsidiary of The Hertz Corp., Park Ridge, N.J.-based HERC is No. 3 on the RER 100.
