Leppo Rents, a premier construction equipment dealer and rental house, has officially, as of Wednesday, October 19, 2022, acquired Rent Equip in Medina, Ohio. Rent Equip will now operate as Leppo Rents – Bobcat of Medina.
Founded in 1945, Leppo Rents is a full-line Bobcat equipment dealer offering sales, rental, service, parts, and training. In addition, Leppo carries JLG, Hydro Mobile, and many other top brands. Equipment lines range from compact, heavy construction, and access equipment. Including, but not limited to, track loaders, skid steers, tractors, mowers, excavators, dozers, telehandlers, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and more.
Regarding the new store opening, Glenn Leppo, chairman of the board of Leppo Rents, said: “The owner, Jim Brown, told us that his first purchase was a 743 Bobcat on a Butler trailer from Leppo, and felt it was fitting that we continue their success. Other than a couple of people who have chosen to retire, customers will still see the same familiar faces. By acquiring Rent Equip, Leppo Rents can better serve the equipment industry in Medina County. Leppo Rents now has eight physical locations in Northeast Ohio. The Leppo Group, headquartered in Kent, Ohio, is No. 67 on the RER 100.
