United Kingdom-based rental company Vp plc has acquired the entire share capital of M&S Hire Limited for £2.8 million in cash. M&S was founded in 1984 and is a specialist rental business supplying access systems and working at height solutions.
M&S operates from a single location in Sittingbourne, Kent, and focuses on the Greater London market. M&S will be integrated within VP’s MEP Hire division which primarily offers low-level access and press fitting tools from nine locations within VP’s U.K. division.
“The acquisition of M&S is an excellent addition to our very successful MEP Hire business and it will complement its existing operations with increased exposure to the commercial fit-out sector,” said Jeremy Pilkington, chairman of Vp plc. “I am delighted to welcome the M&S team to Vp.”
Vp’s U.K. divisions include Groundforce; Brandon Hire Station; ESS; MEP Hire; Torrent Trackside; TPA; and UK Forks. Its international division include Airpac and TR Group.
