Tennant Co. introduces ReadySpace, which creates clean carpet spaces that are dry and ready for foot traffic in 30 minutes or less. Targeting soil within the carpet pile, the ReadySpace technology removes the dirt that diminishes carpet appearance, luster and life span. Unlike traditional carpet care products, ReadySpace relies on sprayer units that apply water to two counter-rotating, specially designed fabric rollers that pick up the soil from the carpet. Very little water reaches the carpet because the carpet is never actually sprayed with water.
East Kentwood High School, Kentwood, Mich., has 222,000 square feet of carpet and 2,300 students. “With ReadySpace's ability to deliver virtually neglible dry times, we won't be caught in the dry time situations we used to get caught in,” says Dana Langworthy, maintenance and custodial team leader with the school. “ReadySpace will allow us to clean the carpets, drastically improve the school's appearance and increase the image of our school — all because carpets will be clean, dry and ready before visitors arrive.”
