Solutions by Computer introduces the Enfinity SaaS, a “Software as a Service,” version of its flagship Enfinity rental management system on Windows. SaaS deployment, also known as hosted software, is designed to give customers access to Enfinity's range of rental applications and related integrations, delivered over the Internet. It is suitable for any size rental business.
The processor that runs Enfinity SaaS is hosted, secured and maintained by Solutions by Computer. Enfinity SaaS is designed to dramatically reduce a rental company's upfront costs and eliminate the need for a system manager in large operations. In addition, repetitive maintenance tasks such as data archiving are handled automatically.
“In today's economy, where capital funds for long-term investments may be limited, our Enfinity SaaS model offers rental businesses a way to gain rapid competitive advantages at an extremely attractive price point,” says Jack Shea, CEO of Solutions by Computer. “We are receiving interest from pure-play rental companies as well as operations where rental is a secondary revenue stream.”
Key functionality of Enfinity includes intuitive tracking and processing of rentals, sales, reservations, quotations, service scheduling, delivery routing and customer relationship management.
“Under the SaaS model, the same software and database is installed on a server located at a Solutions' site,” explains Shea. “All of the system maintenance, such as backups, is done there. The user just logs onto the server over a private network Internet connection and uses the software. There is usually no upfront purchase of a software license. Most of the costs, including software maintenance and enhancements, are combined into a monthly usage fee.”
