Eight models are on display including the SJ3219 and SJ4740 scissor lifts, the SJ519 TH and SJ843 TH telehandlers, the SJ60 AJ+ articulating boom, Skyjack’s largest rough-terrain scissor lift, the SJ9664 RT, the brand new SJ16 E, and the SJ20 E.

Skyjack is excited to meet with customers in person again at The ARA Show, the largest equipment and event rental trade show in the world. Eight models are on display including the SJ3219 and SJ4740 scissor lifts, the SJ519 TH and SJ843 TH telehandlers, the SJ60 AJ+ articulating boom, Skyjack’s largest rough-terrain scissor lift to date, the SJ9664 RT, the brand new SJ16 E, and the recently launched SJ20 E.

“The pandemic presented an ideal time for Skyjack to step back and optimize our products by examining data, customer feedback, and industry trends,” said Ken McDougall, president, Skyjack. “The result has been our introduction of new and improved products that increase ROI and decrease the overall cost of ownership for our customers.”

Earlier this year, Skyjack introduced a number of new models through SKYWORLD Live, its first virtual tradeshow held in response to COVID-19 travel restrictions. Using data from Elevate, Skyjack’s telematics system, Skyjack updated a number of design features on its Next Generation DC scissor lifts, its Full Size RT range, its TH series telehandlers, its vertical mast lifts, and its new 40- and 60-foot booms. Elevate telematics allowed Skyjack to discover that certain models like the SJ60 AJ+ and the SJ9664 RT can employ smaller engines and still deliver the same on-site job performance as higher-powered units. This redesign led to higher ROI and decreased cost of ownership for customers as these smaller engines do not require much of the complicated maintenance-intensive emission control modules.

The SJ3219 and SJ4740 Next Generation DC scissor lifts have working heights of 24 feet 6 inches (7.47 m) and 44 feet 11 inches (13.69 m) - ANSI, 7.65 m and 13.86 m – CE, respectively. They include features like a high-strength, impact-resistant control box, single location emergency lowering switch, CAN bus capable smart charger, and adjusted pothole protection that improves ground clearance by up to 45 percent.

Skyjack’s new full-size rough terrain scissor lift, the SJ9664 RT, has a working height of 70ft (21.34 m) - ANSI, 21.51 m - CE. It includes AXLDRIVE, an axle-based four-wheel drive system, SMARTORQUE technology, an expansive workspace, a reinforced scissor stack that promotes increased rigidity, simplified e-lowering, and SKYCODED, the on-board diagnostic display.

Some core changes made to Skyjack’s North American TH Series telehandlers include greaseless bearings and a high-pressure filter that reduce the amount of maintenance required by end users and have a positive impact on equipment longevity and cost of ownership. The SJ519 TH and SJ843 TH on display at the show have lifting capabilities of 5,500 pounds (2,495 kg) and 8,000 pounds (3,629 kg), respectively.

The SJ60 AJ+ articulating boom leverages SMARTORQUE technology that allows for a less than 25-hp engine to achieve the same on-site job performance as larger engines. Other benefits include significantly less sensor and emission regulation components, reduced fuel usage, no downtime related to aftertreatment components, and no expensive diesel oxidization catalyst (DOC) or diesel particulate filter (DPF) maintenance or replacement.

For the first time, Skyjack will unveil its Totally Transformed Vertical Mast range of AC Electric Drive zero-emission machines that feature an improved duty cycle of up to 30 percent meaning less charging, less power consumption, and a lower carbon footprint.

“The models we’re featuring at ARA all reflect Skyjack’s simple and reliable philosophy that delivers quality products and exceptional customer value,” said Malcolm Early, vice president of marketing at Skyjack. “We’re proud to showcase our most in-demand and sustainable machines that respond to our customers’ needs and ensure the best value for their money.”

Skyjack will also showcase its Elevate telematics system and a variety of accessories including XStep, the newest addition to the ACCESSORYZERS line.
