GE Energy Rental supplied power for the World Golf Championships in County Kilkenny, Ireland, last week. The company provided 22 generator sets that delivered about 4,000 kilowatts of temporary power and eight heat-pump chillers that provided more than 1,000 kilowatts of temporary heating and cooling. GE also provided 65 air-handling units that distributed the heating and air conditioning to the welcome pavilion, the main village, corporate hospitality tents, media tents, catering operations and players’ and caddies’ lounges.
GE also supplied 24 mobile light towers to illuminate the greens as they were cut each tournament day before dawn.
Atlanta-based GE Energy Rentals is No. 17 on the RER 100.
