Multiquip's newest addition to its full line of walk-behind trench rollers is the Rammax P33/24HHMR ACE. The patented compaction technology allows users to operate the trench roller on any soil and determine the required amount of passes needed to achieve optimum compaction. Built-in sensors monitor soil density with a light display visible from all angles and inform the operator of compaction efforts and results.
The P33/24HHMR ACE is powered by an 18.5-hp Hatz diesel engine and can produce 18,500 pounds of centrifugal force. The trench roller is able to operate on slopes up to 45 percent with vibration and 55 percent without vibration. Variable travel speeds excel the machine to 115 feet per minute.
“The ACE trench roller can be used to establish the necessary number of compaction passes required to obtain optimum compaction on a jobsite, says Torsten Erbel, director of product management for Multiquip. “The results can then be communicated to operators using MQ/Rammax machines onsite without the ‘ACE’ feature. The contractor now has maximum utilization of his equipment without wasting time or efforts on unnecessary passes.”
