Safway
Safway Systems scaffold's patented design allows for adaptation to virtually any shape structure inside or outside. Each vertical post has 360 degree ring sets spaced 21 inches apart, and all horizontal and diagonal braces attach quickly and firmly to the ring sets. Horizontal members and diagonals can be connected at any point around the vertical post ring sets and locked individually. Up to eight horizontal members can be attached on each ring set at any angle. Plus, horizontal and diagonal members can be individually removed and placed after the Systems scaffold has been erected.
Bob Semmel, vice president of construction for E.T. Gresham Co., Norfolk, Va., recently used Safway scaffolds on a church project it was working on. Completion of the project was scheduled to coincide with the 150th anniversary of the church so the deadline was concrete. When its original scaffolding manufacturer, who came in with the lowest bid initially, couldn't complete the job, Safway stepped in to complete it. “They jumped right in and they knew what we needed to do,” says Semmel. “They did it and we hit our deadline.”
