JLG Industries

The Model 1250AJP Ultra Boom aerial work platform is an articulating and telescoping model with 63-foot, 2-inch horizontal reach; 60-foot, 7-inch up-and-over capability; and 125-foot platform height. The JibPLUS jib boom on the Model 1250AJP rotates both 130 degrees vertically and 125 degrees horizontally; and when combined with the 180-degree platform rotation, provides workers with maneuverability for reaching hard-to-access areas. Platform capacity in the majority of the work envelope is a restricted 1,000 pounds. Unrestricted platform capacity is 500 pounds.

Haulotte

The HA 130 JRT 130-foot articulating boom is designed to use its high articulation point of 58 feet, 3 inches, to negotiate around obstacles, and to use the boom articulation design to come back down without using the arm. The HA 130 JRT also features a maximum 63-foot horizontal outreach; standard 4-wheel drive and steer; extending and oscillating axles; and continuous outreach control. It also offers a hydraulic differential lock and 15-inch ground clearance for improved rough-terrain capability. Full proportional controls and simultaneous boom functions improve functionality. Working area is improved via a positive/negative movement articulated fly jib with 140-degree arc of movement.

Grove

The new RT535E rough-terrain mobile crane will feature a four-section, 102-foot, full-power boom. A 26- to 45-foot offset-table swingaway extension is available giving the RT535E maximum possible tip height of 154 feet. The crane's rectangular boom features high-strength steel, which offers weight savings and improved lifting capacity. The new cab design features a more modern appearance and an improved, streamlined dashboard control panel. The RT535E also features a work area definition system, which allows the operator to pre-set safe working areas.

Ingersoll Rand

The VR-1056C telescopic material handler has a 56-foot lift height and 40.5-foot forward reach. It also features the Ingersoll Rand patented rear axle stabilization system. It allows operators to extend the boom to its fullest reach without stabilizer deployment, and it carries 6,000 pounds to 56 feet with stabilizers, and 4,000 pounds to the top without stabilizers. The VR-1056C is powered by a Tier 2 Cummins QSB4.5 engine with electronic controls designed to improve power management.

Skyjack

The new SJ 40T and SJ 45T telescopic boomlifts feature swing-up cowlings that offer unrestricted compartment access, and a swing-out engine tray allows for quick maintenance inspection. Jobsite terrainability is provided by an axle drive system and will deliver expected gradeability of 30 percent in 2-wheel drive and 40 percent in 4-wheel-drive configuration. The lifts also feature Skyjack's continuous drive and steer-directional sensing, a feature that automatically adjusts the control inputs based on the operator orientation relative to the base.

Caterpillar

The TH210 and TH215 telehandlers are designed for customers who require a versatile material-handling machine in a small package. These models are sized to work on construction, landscape and agricultural applications. The TH210 has an operating weight of 12,450 pounds and a rated load capacity of 4,850 pounds with a maximum lift height of 17 feet. The larger TH215 weighs 12,668 pounds and carries a 5,500-pound load. Its maximum lift height is 18.1 feet. Both machines are equipped with a Cat 3054B direct-injection naturally aspirated diesel engine rated at 84 gross hp.

Gehl

The new RS Series telescopic handlers have increased lift heights — up to 44 feet on the RS8, making it a true 4-story machine. Gehl also updated the ROPS/FOPS canopy and cab with an ergonomically designed operator station and pilot-assisted controls. The new RS6 telescopic handler has a longer boom that reaches to 42 feet, and its rated operating capacity has been increased to 6,600 pounds. The new RS8 telescopic handler, with a rated capacity of 8,000 pounds is now available in boom lengths of 42 feet and 44 feet.

Mustang Manufacturing

Mustang Manufacturing now offers the option of radio remote boom control to its 742, 944 and 1155 telehandler models, freeing crew for other tasks. The remote system allows the telehandler boom to be raised and lowered, extended and retracted — all from the remote control pendant. Operators can also shut down or start the engine with the remote.

“On a recent job, we used the radio remote to set large windows, install siding and place pre-fabricated dormers on a roof,” says Dave Merkel, part owner of Countryside Builders in Menomonee Falls, Wis.
