Talbert Manufacturing, a maker of specialized heavy-haul trailers and transportation equipment, recently hired Rick Myers as its director of materials. Myers oversees deliveries, material purchases, warranty fulfillment and aftermarket parts. He also is responsible for budgets, employee training and planning in those areas.
“Rick’s operational expertise and industry knowledge make him a great asset to the team,” said Andy Tanner, Talbert president. “He brings real value to our company with his leadership skills and experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, etc.”
During 28 years in operations management, Myers has held a range of leadership positions in areas such as purchasing, production and inventory control. Most recently, he was the operations and purchasing manager at Jost International, a global manufacturer of fifth wheels, landing gears, kingpins and other trucking-related products based in Grand Haven, Mich.
