CNH industrial is making a $24-million investment to expand its production facilities in Burlington, Iowa, with the addition of a crawler dozer production line. The company expects the expansion to create about 50 full-time jobs, with production beginning in the second half of 2015.

The facility expansion will include a paint area, an assembly line, and welding and computer numerical control machining equipment. The production line will complete the dozer products range for Case Construction Equipment. Currently the equipment is being made at the company’s Calhoun, Ga., plant, scheduled to close in the third quarter of 2015.

The Burlington plant has been manufacturing equipment for CNH Industrial’s brands since 1937, including agricultural equipment for Case IH and New Holland.
