John Kennedy, owner of Sales to Industry, a manufacturers’ rep group, died December 28. Kennedy represented a number of aerial equipment, air equipment and other lines to the rental industry. He founded Sales to Industry in 1984.
Kennedy was active in state and national rental associations. Sales to Industry was one of the first manufacturers’ rep groups to establish digital marketing programs.
Kennedy served three years in the U.S. Army, completing a tour of service in Vietnam. After graduating from the University of Bridgeport in 1972, Kennedy began a career with Ingersoll Rand and later founded Sales to Industry.
Kennedy is survived by his wife Sandra. A memorial service will be held in New Jersey in the spring. His family has asked that donations be made to the Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Wescott Dr., Flemington, NJ 08822.
