Cross Lanes, W. Va.-based Terramite Corp. recently laid off about 20 workers at its Cross Lanes plant.

Bob Cunningham, president of the company, confirmed the layoff last month to The Charleston Gazette, but would not disclose the number of workers involved.

One former employee of the company told the Gazette that 18 to 22 full-time workers had been laid off. The company, which has downsized several times the past few years, employed 94 as of mid-April, the newspaper reported.
