TUCSON, Ariz. - Tom Hoxie, co-owner of Aero Rents, died in early December. Hoxie, 59, died after striking his head in a fall, said his brother and partner, Greg Hoxie.

Hoxie had been involved in the rental industry since age 12, Greg said, when he began working part time at Aero, then owned by his father, Mitch Hoxie. He came to work for the company full time after graduating from college in his early 20s.

Although Hoxie had left the day-to-day operations to Greg, sister Pam Bowles and brother-in-law Vern Palmer for the past two years because of ill health, he continued to participate in management decisions in a consulting role. The company has two locations in Tucson.

Hoxie is survived by three daughters, Wendy, Terry and Christie, and four grandchildren.
