RESERVE, La. - Louisiana Rents opened its fourth branch in Port Fourchon, one of the busiest oil-field ports in south Louisiana.

The network of Cat Rental Stores opened in late 1999 with branches in Morgan City, Gonzales and Lafayette.

"We will be focusing on our normal offshore oil-field equipment such as air compressors, generators and welding machines as well as Cat earthmoving equipment," said general manager Donald Charbonnet.

The Port Fourchon branch will be located in the same facility as Louisiana Machinery, parent company of Louisiana Rents.

Charbonnet added that the company has further expansion plans, hoping to open branches in New Orleans, Shreveport, Monroe and Lake Charles in the near future.
