CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Mike Farley resigned recently as president of Brambles Equipment Services U.S., company officials told RER.

John Haener, manager of the company's northern region, was named president.

Gerard Legtmann, Brambles' global president of equipment rental business, told RER that Haener, who was based in Detroit, the company's largest U.S. branch, has played a major role in developing the company's industrial business, especially with large automobile manufacturers.

Legtmann added that Brambles, which has reorganized to a global rather than a regional structure, is not looking to sell its equipment rental division, contrary to published reports.

Brambles is No. 8 on the RER 100 and has 37 branches in the United States.
