Speedy Hire Lights Up Music Festival with Hybrid Light Towers

Speedy Hire, the U.K.’s largest equipment rental company has purchased nearly 200 environmentally friendly VB9 LED hybrid light towers from Tower Light UK to illuminate the camping areas and access walkways of the famous Glastonbury music festival, the biggest music festival in the U.K., eventindustrynews reports.

The VB9 LED hybrid features a hybrid battery/diesel system, with auto-charging technology with the set running on 90-percent battery power and 10-percent fuel. The battery is automatically recharged via a low battery monitor system, combining 8-hours battery power and 8-hours generator usage. The battery has 3,000 hours of live and the generator only consumes 0.25 liters per hour when in use. The system remains totally silent 50 percent of the time.
