Dallas-based Toughquip has released a new information guide that enables buyers, sellers or owners of used Caterpillar equipment to dispose of or acquire equipment more accurately. The Caterpillar Equipment Buyer Information Guide includes most Caterpillar construction equipment models from 1960 through 2003.
The briefcase-sized guide includes more than 1,700 serial series models with more than 700 pages of information on specifications, price and equipment upgrades. Its “quick-glance” single-page format allows users to obtain information on specific machines on one page, including model numbers, serial series, country of origin, engine model and serial numbers, equipment weight, length, width, capacity, serial numbers, model years and mid-production upgrades.
Toughquip, which is not associated with or a representative for Caterpillar Inc., is also compiling equipment data on brands such as Case, Komatsu, Deere and others.
