Aggreko last week signed an exclusive agreement with one of the largest homebuilders in Texas to provide temporary power generation for all the company’s residential construction activity, including developments in Houston, Dallas/Ft. Worth, San Antonio, McAllen and the Austin area.

Aggreko will supply the company’s sites with power for trailers, equipment and individual homes until city power sources are installed.

Prior to signing the agreement, the homebuilder established the quality and reliability of Aggreko’s services, equipment and operations on a variety of individual projects. “Before signing a large agreement, many construction companies want to ensure that a large rental company like Aggreko not only has local service capabilities, but can deal with all aspects of the contract, from construction to invoicing, in a flexible, streamlined way,” said David Dickert, South Texas Area Sales Manager. “By obtaining referrals from their field personnel, they knew we could handle the job.”

The contract reflects Aggreko’s growing presence at construction sites in Texas. “In one of the new Houston development locations, we were renting to four builders at the same time,” said Leah Birsch, Aggreko sales representative for construction in the South Texas area. “After the initial order was placed, we had 14 X 30 kW generators on site at one time. To meet the demand for the project period, the local Aggreko team drew on our network of service centers.”
