Charles Harold “Tally” McGraw, owner of McGraw Rental & Supply in Ridgeland, Miss., died recently at the age of 88. McGraw, a native of Yazoo City, Miss., founded the business in 1981. The company is still operating, and McGraw’s son Chuck still operates the business from two locations, Ridgeland and Flowood, Miss.
McGraw was a high school athlete, participating in boxing and football. He attended Mississippi State University and served in the United States Air Force. Before founding McGraw Rental & Supply, McGraw worked for Mississippi Road Supply and Allied Equipment.
McGraw was known as a gregarious and friendly personality, popular with customers and active in his community and church.
In addition to his son Chuck, McGraw is survived by his wife Peggy Brent McGraw, son Richard, daughters Cindy and Ellen, and seven grandchildren.
