Internet radio provider Voice America has teamed up with rental equipment industry veteran Donald Charbonnet to host a live radio show dedicated exclusively for the equipment rental industry. The first show will take place Sept. 5 at noon central time, live from New Orleans.

Internet radio provider Voice America has teamed up with rental equipment industry veteran Donald Charbonnet to host a live radio show dedicated exclusively for the equipment rental industry. The first show will take place Sept. 5 at noon central time, live from New Orleans.

RentalEquip Talk Radio will be broadcast live every Wednesday at noon central time on VoiceAmerica.com/business. The live shows will remain on the RentalEquipTalkRadio website for listeners to tune in at a later time at www.rentalequiptalkradio.com.

Charbonnet is a veteran of the construction equipment rental and sales industry. He has opened, run and grown several successful rental companies in his career, both individually and as part of senior management teams. Charbonnet has been a speaker at many American Rental Association conventions, a regional director for Region 4 and an award winner at the local and national level. He is a past Executive of the Year of the Greater New Orleans Executive Association as well as past president.

RentalEquip Talk Radio is an independent, internet-based live talk radio show and will cover a variety of topics to benefit those in the industry while preserving some of its history. Guests will include customers and members of organizations such as The Associated Builders and Contractors, Associated General Contractors, Home Builders Association, Association of Equipment Manufacturers, Association of Equipment Distributors and leaders in the equipment rental industry, including the American Rental Association.

Subjects will include equipment financing, insurance, training, safety, fleet management, consolidation, how to  prepare for a sale, marketing, sales, women in construction, equipment disposal, rental rates, lead sources, analytics, legal issues, accounting practices, human resource issues, customer service, rental strategies and more.

The first guess on the program, on Sept. 5, will be Dan Conway, founder of Craft Partners LLC. Conway has advised hundreds of middle-market companies with mergers and acquisitions, both healthy and distressed, leveraged transactions, private placements of debt and equity capital, private equity investing and debt restructurings. Before founding Craft Partners, Conway was a shareholder, managing director and leading producer at FocalPoint Partners, a middle-market investment banking firm with offices in Los Angeles and Chicago.

Conway has been involved in numerous transactions involving equipment rental companies. Some of his most recent transactions include the sale of RPM Services & Rentals to Hugg & Hall Equipment Co.; the sale of I&L Rentals to Sunbelt Rentals; and the sale of Pacific High Reach to Sunbelt pursuant to Section 363 of the bankruptcy code.
