Holt Cat Breaks Ground for Edinburg, Texas, Facility

July 3, 2013

Holt Cat's equipment and engine dealerships held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new full-service facility in Edinburg, Texas, that will help Holt Cat grow its presence in South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley, its website reported. The new 38,000-plus-square-foot building will be a parts, rental and full-service center.

The new store location, expected to open in the second quarter of 2014, will be LEED-certified by the guidelines set by the U.S. Green Building Council.

“Today’s expansion of our operations in Hidalgo County we hope will help to facilitate growth in the community,” said Allyn Archer, Holt Cat president and chief operating officer. “With the future development of Interstate 69 and other planned construction, we look at these stores to be an investment for the next 30 to 40 years.”

Based in San Antonio, Holt Caterpillar is No. 15 on the RER 100.
