Butler Machinery Acquires Hurtt Equipment

Fargo, N.D.-based Butler Machinery Co., Caterpillar dealer for North and South Dakota and Clay County, Minn., has acquired Hurtt Equipment, a family-owned AGCO and Gleaner dealer based in Hoople, N.D. Effective July 1, the Hurtt Equipment facility will become Butler’s 12th location.

Hurtt Equipment was founded in 1964.

Butler Machinery Co. is a third generation family-owned Caterpillar dealership, serving the construction and agricultural markets for 55 years. It also has a prosperous rental subsidiary, known as North Central Rental and Leasing, No. 64 on the RER 100.
