Each of the WEDA electric submersible pump models is available in a 50Hz and a 60Hz version. The range consists of the WEDA 04 and WEDA 08 drainage pumps, the WEDA 04B residual pump and the WEDA 04S and 08S sludge/trash pumps. The pumps are 1 horsepower or less and have two voltage variants, 115 V and 230 V, and are ISO 900 and C-UL-US approved. The pumps feature a small, lightweight and high efficiency motor and their triple shaft seal design ensures reliability. Each model is equipped with thermal protection on the motor to automatically stop the pump in case of either overheating or overload/over-current. The pump automatically restarts after cooling down.
Brave’s trash pump line-up includes two semi-trash models and one trash model. All are powered by Honda engines. They feature aluminum housing and a cast iron impeller and diffuser for long life. Pumps are able to handle solid particles in suspension up to 1-1/8 inches in diameter, offer a 50 PSI maximum and provide 147-272 GPM maximum dependent on model. All models come with a basket strainer, hose adapters, EPDM mechanical seal and inlet valve. Available in 2-inch or 3-inch port sizes to fit common hoses.
Honda Power Equipment’s line of water pumps consists of rugged, easy-to-use models in four different categories—the gasoline-powered de-watering, trash, multi-purpose, and electric submersible series. While Honda general purpose de-watering pumps are designed for varying applications and typical water removal, Honda also produces a number of pumps for specialty applications. Multiquip’s QP3Ti Trash Pump. It is the first gasoline powered, pipe-framed centrifugal pump to provide unattended operations, automatic no prime shut-down, and easy manual dial water flow control. It features a load sensing engine, an industrial pump end, solid-state ECU Controller, and a mechanical float switch assembly. The HONDA iGX240 electric start engine provides on-demand power and a connective voice to the pump control panel to support manual and automatic functioning of watering/dewatering operations. Its solid state design and flexible operating panel allow the operator to easily navigate from “dial-in” manual flow control to unattended pumping operations with automatic shutdown/restart capability.

Wacker Neuson’s extensive pump line includes a series of automatic self-priming trash pumps. The APT series pumps are heavy duty automatic self-priming trash pumps designed for high flow efficiency and superior solids handling. Offered in 4-inch, 6-inch and 8-inch models, these pumps feature a Venturi/compressor assist priming system that primes and reprimes the pump automatically. Since there is no need for manual priming, they are built for unattended operation. The oil-filled bearing and oil-bathed mechanical seal design provides indefinite run-dry capability.
Xylem’s Godwin PrimeGuard 2 is a fully programmable microprocessor engine control system that allows for inputs from flow meters, level transducers, pressure transducers or standard floats. Using the data from any of these systems, Godwin Dri-Prime pumps can be programmed to start/stop automatically with no operator intervention required. Used in tandem with PrimeGuard 2, FST can monitor engine, motor, and pump operation conditions (e.g. operating hours, speed, engine temperature, and fuel consumption) as well as pump parameters such as suction and discharge pressure, sump level, and flow data. Pump data can be accessed remotely from any device in the world with an internet connection.
While most of today’s vacuum pump priming systems are effective in allowing a basic pump to prime automatically, there are also built-in limitations causing their owners to frequently maintain, repair or even replace them. Enter Thompson Pump’s OVT (Oil-Less Vacuum Technology). OVT provides fast, reliable priming (97cfm). It can be used for sewer bypassing, wellpoint dewatering and – in some cases – even jetting. Plus, it can be added to many Thompson centrifugal pumps. By virtue of its construction, many of the issues seen on typical priming systems have been eliminated. It is dry running, meaning there is no need for a lubricating oil in the vacuum compression chamber, eliminating oil pollution or smoke.
