RER

RER is teaming up with Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers and Lift and Access® Showcase & Symposium to bring you an event that provides the opportunity to reach your audience face-to-face, with hands-on equipment opportunities to attract new customers. The 2012 Lift and Access®Showcase & Symposium allows you, the Heavy Equipment providers, to capitalize on an established event and world-renowned auctioneer, to showcase your rental equipment and services.

Lift and Access® Showcase & Symposium

Now in its sixth year – the Lift and Access® Showcase & Symposium is an interactive industry event that provides a venue for equipment manufacturers and aftermarket vendors to connect with buyers and users of a variety of lifting equipment, and, new this year, earthmoving and construction equipment as well. Typically, more than 100 pieces of equipment are displayed. In 2011 the event attracted more than 300 attendees – buyers and key executives from 9 of the Top 10 largest rental companies in North America. Combined they controlled more than 60% of North American lift and access equipment buying power. Lead engineers and product managers from 10 of the leading suppliers of Access and telehandler OEMs attended. These OEMs produce in excess of $4 billion in equipment annually.

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers

Ritchie Bros. is the world’s largest auctioneer of unused & used heavy equipment and trucks. $3.7 billion worth of equipment was sold at 339 of its unreserved auctions worldwide in 2011. The company has more than 110 locations in more than 25 countries, including 44 auction sites worldwide. In February 2012, Ritchie Bros. conducted the world’s largest heavy equipment auction at its permanent auction site in Orlando, Fla. — setting records for gross auction proceeds (US $203 million), number of equipment lots sold (more than 10,000), total number of registered bidders (8,670), number of sellers (830), online gross auction proceeds (more than US $47 million) and number of online bidders (4,070).

The company will hold an unreserved public auction at its Orlando, Fla., auction site during the upcoming October event. The average Ritchie Bros. industrial auction (in 2011) generates US $15.5 million in gross auction proceeds; features 1,186 equipment lots from 183 sellers; and registers 1,681 on-site and online bidders from around the world.

Although Ritchie Bros. has grown since it was established in 1958, the principles upon which it was founded remain the same: treating customers fairly and maintaining the highest standards of business ethics. Every Ritchie Bros. auction is completely unreserved — meaning there are no minimum bids and no reserve prices, and every item is sold to the highest bidder on auction day. Bid-ins and buy backs are also forbidden, which means that only legitimate bidders are able to raise the bid price.

Product categories may include: Aerial Work Platforms, Generators, Pumps, Earthmoving Equipment, Telehandlers, Compaction Equipment, Concrete Equipments, Light Towers, and more.
