Volvo Construction Equipment this week launched a new iPad application for its company magazine, Spirit. The app, created to offer readers more ways to enjoy the magazine on the go, marks another milestone in the company’s expanding digital communications.

The new app is free for download from the Apple iTunes store and is also accessible via the company’s global website at www.volvospiritmagazine.com/.

“At Volvo CE we utilize our long tradition of innovation to constantly explore new ways to communicate with our audiences,” said Klas Magnusson, senior vice president of corporate communications for Volvo Construction Equipment. “Our new iPad app for Spirit magazine offers yet another way to access and enjoy our company’s news and marks a further milestone in our ever expanding digital communications.”

The app, which is a tailored version of the printed magazine, has a range of new features including an animated front cover and video featuring president and CEO Pat Olney; an article on the company’s latest range of C-Series skid-steer loaders with integrated video and movable pictures; and an interactive kids page to teach the next generation about Volvo CE’s machines.

Run in conjunction with the printed magazine, the new app gives audiences more ways to interact with the company and joins Volvo CE’s other digital offerings including its online Spirit magazine viewer, Global website and Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages.
