Milwaukee SDS Plus Rotary Hammer Features Auto Stop Kickback Control

Sept. 6, 2022
The unit delivers 30 percent faster drilling of ¾-inch holes and weighs up to six pounds lighter versus SDS Max rotary hammers, the company said.

Milwaukee Tool delivers an SDS Plus Rotary Hammer with the capability to complete SDS Max applications with the introduction of its new M18 Fuel 1 ¼-inch SDS Plus D-Handle Rotary Hammer with One-Key. Designed to provide professionals with a faster and lighter alternative to compact SDS Max Rotary Hammers, the new D-Handle Rotary Hammer features Auto Stop Kickback Control and floor-to-ceiling dust management.

The unit delivers 30 percent faster drilling of ¾-inch holes and weighs up to six pounds lighter versus SDS Max rotary hammers, the company said. Its ergonomic, D-Handle design provides more balance and is optimized for downward drilling. The Powerstate Brushless Motor provides the speed and power for demanding applications at 3.65 foot-pounds of impact energy, 810 RPM, and 4,650 BPM.  Auto Stop Kickback Control is designed for maximum control and enhanced safety, shutting the tool off in a bind-up situation and preventing over rotation.

When paired with an M18 Red Lithium High Output XC6.0 Battery, the M18 Fuel 1-¼-inch SDS Plus D-Handle Rotary Hammer with One-Key can drill up to (25) ¾-inch x 4-inch holes per charge. For dust collection and OSHA Table 1 compliance, it is compatible with the M18 Fuel Hammervac 1¼-inch Dedicated Dust Extractor.

As an added benefit, users can track, manage, and secure the D-Handle Rotary Hammer from their mobile device through One-Key, a Bluetooth community tracking network. If the D-Handle Rotary Hammer is ever lost or stolen, One-Key provides the ability to prevent tampering with remote lockout capability.

The machine is designed to be compatible with the entire M18 line, now offering more than 250 power tool solutions.
