Bosch Power Tools
Bosch's new miter saw precision laser-tracking system is available on three models: the 4410L 10-inch and 5412L 12-inch dual-bevel sliding compound miter saws, and the 4212L 12-inch dual-bevel compound miter saw. The laser projects a red line along the blades' kerf, is visible throughout the cut and follows the exact contours of the work piece. The Bosch laser eliminates additional switches and conserves battery power by actuating with the trigger and shutting off when the blade stops.

Wacker
Wacker's BTS-L3 series of portable cut-off saws are designed for performance and efficiency because of a unique piston, innovative air filter and improved cooling. The L3 piston is furnished with a graphite surface coating to eliminate piston and cylinder overheating even during tough continuous operations. The coating also provides added protection against dirt. The BTS series also has an operator-friendly air-cleaning system that directs the air flow so that the dust is automatically shaken off the preliminary filter through the machine's own vibration. An enlarged air feed optimizes the engine's protection against overheating. The saw's starter rope is treated with silicone, providing added protection against rope damage during operation.

Partner
The K750 power cutter features an improved three-stage active air filtration system that filters fine dust and grit. The dual charge technology is designed to reduce emissions by up to 70 percent. The air intake system can be removed from the cutter as an integrated module, which is especially important to users who service tools in the field. A newly designed 5-hp engine is mounted at an angle on the saw frame. The slanted configuration permits a more concentrated fuel mixture, which improves lubrication of the bearings and cylinder barrel. Operation is quieter and more power is available at a lower rpm, which adds to fuel economy as well as the service life of the engine. The new angled engine also reduces vibration, making the power cutter safer and easier to use.
David Brimmel, light equipment manager for Leander, Texas-based JC Evans Construction Co., says design features on the saws make them easier to use and maintain. “They are reliable and affordable, so we plan to keep on using them,” he says. “From the procurement side, we get a good ROI.”
