Aruba-based Cerd N.V., recently selected Universal Accounting Software as its company’s enterprise solution. Cerd is an equipment rental company that also provides sales and service to clients on the Caribbean island. Cerd is the first Aruban company to establish a partnership with UAS, which also has customers in Guam, Puerto Rico, Canada, and the United States.
UAS’s client base includes more than 800 companies involved in rental, service, distribution, and retail. Since 2000, Cerd N.V. has been Aruba’s leading source of equipment sales, rentals, and repairs. The company has recently experienced a large demand for its products and services due to heavy traffic in the center of Aruba, which has prompted numerous construction and modernization projects on the periphery of the island.
Cerd N.V.’s president, Andy Jansen, said he selected Universal “because it is a total solution — point of sale, rental, preventative maintenance, service, repairs — one system does everything. There is no need to interface with Quickbooks or any other software. As our company grows, a patchwork solution would require more manpower — more employees trained on different programs. With UAS, we don’t need as much manpower. Our entire staff is able to learn only one application. Also, Universal offers top-notch support for our entire computer system.”
“Our implementation with Cerd N.V. is an indication that more domestic andinternational companies are realizing the value of partnering with a single business that produces a single solution to handle all of their company’s operations,” said Arleen Coletti, Universal’s vice president of sales.
UAS is headquartered in Edgwater, N.J.
