The Gradall XL 4100 III excavator can be driven to jobsites and back to the equipment yard without the cost of a truck and lowboy trailer. A single, fuel-efficient Detroit Diesel Mercedes engine provides an extra edge in horsepower while operating both the over-the-highway carrier and the upper structure of the boom. The XL 4100 III carrier tail swing is 12 inches shorter than the XL 4100 II that it replaces in the Gradall lineup. In addition, the advanced hydraulics system has pressure-compensated, load-sensing valves with circuit reliefs on all circuits.
