Compact Power introduces the Boxer 118 dedicated trencher, which is the company’s first stand-on, compact trencher for the utility, irrigation and rental markets. The Boxer 118 offers an 18-hp air-cooled Kohler Command Pro gasoline engine with a chain speed of 280 feet per minute. The dirt-cut tooth chain is made of high-carbon steel with carbide tips and is complemented by a standard discharge auger, which pushes the dirt away from the trench while in operation. The 118 features a trenching depth of 24 to 36 inches with a width range from 4 to 8 inches.
