The alternating fuel to battery Hybrid Power System 3K (HPS3K) is the latest offering in Aggreko’s power automation portfolio of technology applications. HPS3K is designed to allow onsite generators to switch from their daily high-load power capacity demand to a battery source when lower power requirements are needed to keep jobsite lights, security systems and computers running.
HPS3K is designed to eliminate idling, cut fuel costs by 50 percent, and reduce emissions, regardless of the fuel source. The HPS3K battery unit is designed to be maintenance free, and with its intelligent, fully automated controls and switching eliminate the need for manual intervention, according to the OEM. When the primary generator is switched off, the HPS3K system provides 12.5 hours of a 500-watt load or 2.5 hours of a 3,000-watt load before the inverter charger switches on the main generator for recharging. While recharging, the batteries continue to provide load back-up service as needed.
Remote Monitoring (ARM) wireless units are found on all Aggreko generators. The units provide operating parameters to the Remote Operations Center (ROC) where teams of field-experienced engineers and technicians monitor generator performance 24/7 and are ready to respond to potential problems. Performance data, alerts and service information are available to customers via an ARM smartphone app.
