Solutions By Computer

Enfinity is a management system created for rental businesses by the same core development team that created the industry's flagship CounterPro system. Windows-based Enfinity is designed to take a mission-critical approach to managing rental inventory for the highest possible return on investment.

Todd Phillips, general manager for Jefferson Rent-All in Jefferson, N.C., started using the Enfinity system last year. “Enfinity's Windows platform gives us the flexibility to add functionality like PartyCAD software and delivery routing,” Phillips says. “With us, everything comes down to customer service. I want to arm all our employees with the technology tools to achieve a level of customer service that sets us apart. For example, when a customer calls to ask about the reach on a particular machine, we have the manufacturer's specs stored as a PDF file in Enfinity, so we can just call it up on the screen.”

Qualcomm

Qualcomm introduces GlobalTRACS 4.0, a software and over-the-air firmware update resulting in two new major features — maintenance profiles and curfew security. The new multiple maintenance profile feature provides notifications when maintenance is due for various types of service on a piece of equipment. Users can now identify multiple service points scheduled at different intervals. The new engine-start curfew function allows customers to define the acceptable range of time that an engine can run. Customers can also establish a time-sensitive electronic curfew boundary around each piece of their equipment.

Lemont, Ill.-based Illini Hi-Reach was experiencing lost revenue and product inefficiencies before incorporating GlobalTRACS. Since employing the equipment management solution, the company discovered one of its customers using the equipment after it was called off rent. Since then, Illini not only recovered the lost revenue, but the GlobalTRACS system has assisted in revenue growth as well.
