Aggreko Expands in Rio Grande Valley

Power, temperature control and oil-free air equipment rental specialist Aggreko recently opened a branch in McAllen, Texas. The new “depot” as Aggreko calls its branches, will service the Rio Grande Valley area of southern Texas as well as the “maquiladora” assembly plants in northern Mexico.

“We have been doing business in the Valley for many years and recently started doing more business in the maquiladoras,” said Aggreko’s vice president of business development Terry Dressel. “Last year we did several projects involving all three product lines. The response from our customers was so encouraging that we decided to open a local facility to improve our response time and become a fixture in a growing market. McAllen is our sixth location in Texas. And more importantly, this location gives us the ability to provide a better service to our customers in Mexico.”

The area offers Aggreko a range of markets, including manufacturing, warehousing, entertainment and construction.

New Iberia, La.-based Aggreko is No. 11 on the RER 100, with more than 70 North American locations and more than 140 worldwide.
