Wacker Neuson will host its sixth annual Wacker Neuson Trowel Challenge competition during World of Concrete, Jan. 21-24, 2014, in Las Vegas at Booth #O30145. The ride-on trowel challenge tests the operator’s entire range of speed and accuracy skills as they maneuver around an obstacle course that weaves throughout the 2,400-square-foot slab.
The company will have an additional slab at its booth this year so attendees not participating in the challenge can have more time to operate its line of walk-behind and ride-on trowels.
Attendees will be able to learn about Wacker Neuson’s CT walk-behind line, which offers a patented design built to provide extra protection from an out-of-control spinning handle. When the operator lets go of the handle, a gyroscopic safety sensor detects the motion of the handle and stops the engine before the handle reaches a 45-degree rotation. This engages the gearbox brake, which will stop the handle rotation within 270-degree rotation. To watch the video, visit www.wackerneuson.us/en/your-industry/concrete-construction.html.
