Crane Services, Appleton, Wis., has obtained its second National Crane NBT55 crane during a visit to Manitowoc’s facilities in Shady Grove, Pa., the company said. The 55-ton boom truck is the seventh National Crane owned by Crane Services.

“The NBT55 is extremely stable during use throughout its entire load chart,” said Rick Mueller, president of Crane Services. “It delivers great capacities like a truck crane, but it also has the comfort and highway speed of a commercial truck when out on the road.”

Crane Services also uses an NBT50 in its National Crane inventory.

The new unit has a 128-foot boom and will also come with a 26-foot to 45-foot telescoping offsettable jib, and will primarily work on residential and commercial projects throughout Wisconsin, such as steel erection and the installation of HWAC  units. Crane Services bought the crane from Milwaukee-based Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental, a division of the All Family of Companies.
