French aerial work platform manufacturer Haulotte Group generated consolidated sales of €134.5 million (about U.S. $150.2 million) in the fourth quarter compared to €92.7 million a year ago, a 45-percent increase. For the full year sales were €445.3 million compared to €412.6 million in 2014, an 8-percent jump.

The group’s sales increase was driven by a 32-percent sales hike in North America, which just completed its strongest two quarters of activity, and a 27-percent hike in Asia despite the slowdown in the Chinese economy, political tensions in the Middle East and low oil prices. In Europe, sales dropped 12 percent despite a dynamic fourth quarter, and plunged 24 percent in Latin America.

With a strong start to the year, Haulotte expects sales growth of close to 5 percent in 2016.
