Total revenue for Haulotte for the first nine months of 2015 is €310.8 million (about U.S. $354 million), compared to €319 million in the first nine months of 2014, a 3 percent decline. Sales declined 5 percent to €258.5 million, equipment rental increased 9 percent to €18.9 million, and service revenue jumped 13 percent to €33.4 million.
In the third quarter, Haulotte’s consolidated sales dropped 8 percent to €104 million, compared to €113 million a year ago. Haulotte said the “wait and see” attitude of major European rental companies led to a 21 percent decline in the region, and the situation remains difficult in Latin America, where revenue plunged 29 percent.
Haulotte said strong commercial activity during the summer and the level of the order book at the end of September allows the company to confirm sales growth expectations for the year of close to 5 percent.
Haulotte is based in L’Orme, France, with new U.S. headquarters in Virginia Beach, Va.
