A to Z Equipment Rentals of Wilmington, N.C., has acquired Country Aire Rentals of Morehead City, N.C. This is A to Z’s seventh location in the Carolinas and expands its presence up the coast.

“This acquisition allows us to better service our customer base into the growing coastal areas of eastern North Carolina,” A to Z vice president Austin Wilson told RER in an e-mail. “We also have a presence in the middle of two large military bases that gives us not only commercial and residential customers, it allows us to diversify our customer base with military contractors.”

Country Aire was founded in 1985 by Ed Griffiths. A to Z was established in 1969 and has two locations in Wilmington, and branches in Leland, Sanford, and the Southport-Oak Island-St. James area in North Carolina, and one in Charleston, S.C. It has a wide-ranging construction inventory with aerial and earthmoving machinery as well as smaller items. A to Z is family-owned and operated.
