Ingersoll-Rand Seals $775 Million Pump Division Pact

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. - Ingersoll-Rand completed the $775 million sale of its Ingersoll-Dresser Pump division to Flowserve, headquartered in Irving, Texas.

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. - Ingersoll-Rand completed the $775 million sale of its Ingersoll-Dresser Pump division to Flowserve, headquartered in Irving, Texas. Flowserve said the acquisition creates the world's largest pump company serving the chemical, oil and power industries and the No. 2 pump company overall.

Ingersoll-Rand said it will reinvest its $370 million after-tax gain from the sale.
