Orion Software announces its latest innovation for the Sirius Pro Rental and Inventory Management Software, the Scenario Management Module, which allows users to create subsets of products to offer based on specific potential usage required by clients, in the desired order, and grouped into marketing themes. For example, scenarios could be built based on the type, the size, or the budget of an event. The idea is to bring salespersons into a scenario with the customer, so that they present only relevant products to their customers, as well as cover the whole spectrum of projects. This is an advanced tool to help salespersons be more efficient by passing through a complete questionnaire linked to the specific end-usage requirements. Users can create as many scenarios as they desire based on venue locations, type of usage, budget or any factors influencing the sales process.

Wacker Neuson’s 48-inch, CRT 48 Series of ride-on trowels offers the Dynamic Steering Stabilization System (DSS) that combines two patent-pending features. The first feature is a torsion-assist steering system that reduces the amount of force needed by the operator to control the machine by 75 percent compared to previous models. This improved steering system makes the unit easy to steer and greatly increases production by reducing operator fatigue. The amount of force needed to control the unit is reduced; ergonomically designed twin-lever controls provide maneuverability, and feedback from the concrete conditions all contribute to a highly productive finishing machine. The second technical change to the unit is a steering dampener system, which is designed to reduce the effect of stick-slip friction between the concrete surface and the trowel blades.

Mustang Manufacturing announces the addition of the MTL312 track loader. The new model features a 66-hp, Tier-3 EPA-certified engine, which meets stringent emissions standards and delivers improved performance. In addition, the compact chassis design on the unit brings the overall machine width down to 58 inches width, allowing it to easily clear narrow passageways and operate with ease on cramped jobsites. Increased productivity was a key driver for the improved design of the track loader. A new standard foot throttle allows operators to be more fuel efficient. An improved control-handle design with additional switches puts more controls at the operator’s fingertips. Activation of the float function is made easier with an improved push-button.

Toro’s TRX trenchers are the first tracked, dedicated walk-behind trenchers that feature tracks providing a low center of gravity and large footprint that increase productivity and maneuverability without creating ruts. The simple control system allows operators to trench with one hand while adjusting boom depth with the other. TRX models trench up to 36 inches, which allows increased depth for various jobsites.
