Skyworks Branch Takes Ice Bucket Challenge from Large Forklift

Sept. 3, 2014

The entire staff of Skyworks Equipment Rental’s Washington Township, N.J., branch will be drenched by 350 gallons of cold water including 10 bags of ice, in one of the largest “ice bucket challenges” yet, to raise awareness and donations for those suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, according to the Warren Reporter. Using one of the branch’s forklifts to douse the 15 employees, as well as additional family members, Skyworks will pay tribute to the lives lost to ALS, including that of a family member of one of the company’s employees.

When the branch manager was challenged earlier this month, its team began challenging each other individually until they realized they had the equipment to undertake the challenge on a larger scale.

Each member of the Skyworks staff and the company itself will be donating to ALS research. The Washington Township branch also challenged the company’s Toledo, Ohio, branch.
