Rental Equipment Investment Corp. has acquired the assets and certain liabilities of Ontario Tool & Rental Inc., an equipment rental company based in Ontario, Oregon. REIC is an equipment rental holding company that now has 22 locations in five states in the northwest United States.
“Ontario Tool & Rental is led by Rusty Smith, who has built the company into a market leader in its area over the past 25 years,” said REIC CEO Kevin Fitzgerald. “We are excited to be able to work with Rusty’s team to continue the growth of Ontario Tool & Rental.
“REIC continues to seek out opportunities to purchase well-run family owned rental businesses across the country. REIC now operates under four different brand names in five states and looks forward to working with other rental companies who are seeking liquidity yet want to preserve their name and management.”
REIC operates Midway Rental in Montana; Hillside Rental in Wyoming and Colorado; and Pro Rental in Idaho and Oregon, in addition to the new purchase of Ontario Tool & Rental.
